Friendly and professional, our teachers provide a varied mix of classes. Every day, we offer a mix of classes aimed at Beginner, Improver, and Mixed levels. All our classes are designed to be progressive and will enable you to begin or continue self-practice at home.

Whether you’ve just starting practicing Yoga or it’s been part of your daily routine for many years, you’ll find the enthusiastic and professional style of our teachers both refreshing and inspiring!

Our classes are available for beginner, improver, and combined levels throughout every week. Class sizes are always small enough so that we can give you individual attention, helping you to maintain the correct alignment in your posture. This means that you’ll get the maximum benefit not only during your holiday with us, but for your future practice as well.

All classes are given in both centers, albeit with different instructors and in a different schedule. For details, please take a look at our overview of instructors as well as the sample schedule for Vassiliki  and Syvota.

Hatha Yoga Classes

These classes are held 5 times a week and are one and a half hours in length. They are primarily aimed at beginner level students; however students of all levels will find them useful. They include meditation, yin stretching and restorative yoga, some very gentle flow yoga and Pranayama (breath control).

Each class concentrates on a specific theme and are deeply therapeutic. As the classes are themed it gives the freedom to either attend all the classes or to drop in and out throughout the week.

Hatha Flow Yoga Classes

 

These flow classes are dynamic, well-rounded classes and include meditation, Asana and Pranayama.

Attention is focused on the breath and the journey and the transitions between the various postures (Vinyassa). Through this process, and the creative and therapeutic sequencing of the postures, the muscular skeletal system becomes better aligned, leading to improved stamina, strength, and flexibility.

These classes are split into two levels; improver & intermediate.

Technique classes

These classes focus on how to advance your practice through greater detail to alignment and the placing of postures. One goal of these classes is to enable you to attain greater confidence when continuing and progressing your own practice when you return home after your holiday. Thus, the benefits last long after your holiday with us has become a warm memory.

These are also offered at both beginner and improver/intermediate level.

Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation classes

This calming and rejuvenating class is held daily and enables deep relaxation and rest, and is suitable for all levels. It is said that half an hour of yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours deep sleep.

Pilates

Pilates was named after Joe Pilates, a self-defense instructor for detectives at Scotland Yard, whose exercise methods would strengthen bedridden patients which spared them from England’s 1918 influenza epidemic. Decades later, students and gym enthusiasts limber up daily, sometimes not even realising the full benefits of their movements until much later. Pilates helps you develop core muscles and stability, and you’ll find it an excellent exercise for improving posture and inner strength overall. Our Pilates teachers offer mat-based classes that are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to those hoping to further their practice.

Body Sculpt Classes

Cicero said it best: “It is exercise alone that supports the spirits, and keeps the mind in vigour.” Body Sculpt is the ultimate class designed to strengthen and tone each and every muscle from head to toe. Body Sculpt uses various equipment including a variety of dumbbells, resistance bands, stability balls and rings. The upbeat rhythms of the music maximise the fun as well as the challenge! Suitable for all levels of fitness.

Hydro-Fit Classes

What’s so great about working out in the water? Well, everything! You get a full  intense work-out with reduced stress and impact on joints, along with improved  balance, posture, muscle toning, and flexibility. Hydro Fit is similar to aqua aerobics. Exercises are performed in the pool to a dynamic musical pulse, and you can  challenge yourself to your full potential with minimal stress on your muscles and joints. These classes use special water weights and resistance equipment to help target aerobic endurance, muscular strength, balance, and suppleness. Suitable for everyone…even non-swimmers!

Swiss Ball Classes

This class revives the space hopper as a piece of fitness kit! Whilst performing toning exercises, special balls add an extra challenge by forcing you to exercise on an  unstable surface. Not only is this a pretty intensive workout for your core, Swiss Ball also helps improve body awareness, posture, and balance. As the old saying goes, ‘to feel fit as a fiddle, tone down your middle’. All levels welcome.

Circuit Classes

While you’re not in Lefkas for the Olympics of course, we encourage you to enjoy the same benefits that the ancient Greeks found holding their Olympiads  outdoors…fresh air and sunshine. Here we hold our Circuit classes or tabata training (a specific set form of circuit training, using high intensity training or high intensity interval training) outside for those who prefer to replace the gym with the great outdoors. A total mix of hi/lo impact cardiovascular stations, patterned with toning exercises, makes this an excellent class for all.
